Materials and Methods:
Aluminum and steel constructed structure, cladded with formed aluminum, primed and painted with opaque digitally printed graphics to create the visual elements. The sign is illuminated with a tasteful mix of custom hand-blown neon glass tubing and pear-shaped light-emitting diode (LED) chasing bulbs. These bulbs react to the ambient sounds of the city around it, triggering a pulse to the noise. The sign was designed to replicate the iconic sign of yesteryear with a mix of old craftsmanship with modern technology and materials.
