Materials and Methods:

Plywood structure forms were created to mould curved-aluminum rail and rib skeletons to ensure the pylon signs (one 2.4 m [8 ft] and two 1.2 m [4 ft] high) were strong enough to accept the potential of people climbing on them. Open aluminum channels were built into the side edges of each structure for light-emitting diode (LED) illumination. Identification panels are routed aluminum with illuminated pushed through, clear acrylic copy with applied vinyl graphics.
